Q: Does the application have to be new?
A: Yes, it has to be a new application, developed after March 23rd 2009.
With this contest we want to prove that it’s possible to develop an innovative application with little time and money.
Q: Should the app be working or can we send in an idea or an abstract?
A: The application you send in for the INCA Award should be a functioning application, at least as working prototype, that is available to and usable in Flanders.
You can use mock-up data in your application, as long as everything is functioning.
Q: How much time do we have?
The ultimate deadline fro sending in your application is April 27th, 12 p.m. (Local time in Belgium, GMT +01:00 )
Q: Is it required to make a movie?
We would like to receive a small introductory movie or screencast demonstrating the possibilities of your application, but don’t let this keep you from sending in your application. The movie is not obligatory.
Q: I have a good idea but I’m not a developer. What can I do?
We are very keen to help matchmaking people with different competences. Just send us an e-mail with your needs and we’ll try to help, with full respect of confidentiality. Alternatively, post on twitter adding #inca09 in the text.
