Wheelmap is an online register which classifies Points of Interests in their wheelchair accessibility status.
The iPhone app strengthens the aspect of crowd sourcing and enables people to create, update and to get information wherever they are.
Whether wheelchair user or not, the app empowers anyone in a neat way to participate in creating a major and worldwide open database. These data provide a better inclusion of mobility impaired people.
We already have some hundred entries per day and the amount of entries coming in through our app is consistently rising since the start in October 2010.
